After a bit too much festive spirit we’re tucking into Jade Green for all those wonderful antioxidants and health boosting benefits found in green tea.
Yunnan is in the far south of China, on the Burmese border, close to Assam. Since it’s so far-flung, most Chinese aren’t too familiar with it, but everyone in Beijing has heard of the “Eighteen Wonders of Yunnan Province”.
Well, we think they’ve been miscounting all these years because our Jade Green tea is surely Wonder Number 19! The leaf itself is extremely attractive: characteristically large and twisted, with a lovely green colour and a delicate tip. And it gives a bright, fragrant liquor with a beautiful sweet and clean flavour.
Boil a kettle of freshly drawn water, leave to cool for a couple of minutes and let a bag of Jade Green brew for 3-4 minutes. Don’t be afraid to come back for a second or third cup from the bag!
